1978年我(wo)國(guo)恢復研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)招(zhao)生(sheng)(sheng)制度，我(wo)院即成立了研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)工作小組，開始(shi)招(zhao)收(shou)碩(shuo)士(shi)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)。1981年開始(shi)招(zhao)收(shou)博士(shi)研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)。1985年成立北(bei)京有色金屬研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)總院研(yan)究(jiu)(jiu)生(sheng)(sheng)部。
現有(you)兩個(ge)一級博(bo)(bo)士(shi)、碩(shuo)(shuo)士(shi)學(xue)位(wei)授(shou)權學(xue)科(ke)：材料科(ke)學(xue)與工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)、冶金(jin)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)，另有(you)分(fen)析化學(xue)、礦(kuang)物(wu)加工(gong)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)兩個(ge)碩(shuo)(shuo)士(shi)學(xue)位(wei)授(shou)權點(dian)，具有(you)材料科(ke)學(xue)與工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)、冶金(jin)工(gong)程(cheng)(cheng)兩個(ge)博(bo)(bo)士(shi)后科(ke)研流動(dong)站，并(bing)與多家企業聯合建立博(bo)(bo)士(shi)后工(gong)作站。
