1978年(nian)我(wo)國恢(hui)復研(yan)(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)招生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)制度，我(wo)院即成立了研(yan)(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)工(gong)作小組(zu)，開始招收(shou)碩士研(yan)(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。1981年(nian)開始招收(shou)博士研(yan)(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)。1985年(nian)成立北京有色金屬研(yan)(yan)究總院研(yan)(yan)究生(sheng)(sheng)(sheng)部(bu)。
現有(you)(you)兩個一級博(bo)(bo)士(shi)、碩士(shi)學位(wei)授(shou)權學科：材料(liao)科學與工程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、冶(ye)金(jin)工程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)，另有(you)(you)分析化學、礦物加工工程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)兩個碩士(shi)學位(wei)授(shou)權點，具(ju)有(you)(you)材料(liao)科學與工程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)、冶(ye)金(jin)工程(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)(cheng)兩個博(bo)(bo)士(shi)后科研流(liu)動(dong)站，并與多家企業聯合(he)建立博(bo)(bo)士(shi)后工作站。
